Glen Bower has over 11 years experience in the accounting and finance sectors, specialising in financial reporting, business services and taxation. He has held senior management roles in public practice in Australia and in 2005/06 was appointed Assistant Finance Manager at international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (London office), responsible for supervising the management accounts team and overseeing worldwide income reports, cost variance analysis reports, interoffice reconciliations and quarterly schedules for the Partners’ Tax Department.
Glen’s experience in business acquisition and re-structuring strategies, KPI modelling, IT accounting systems, budgets and cashflow, company valuations and taxation advice contributes a well rounded skillset for his role as Head of Accounting & Finance at The Grants & Funding Institute.
Glen’s academic career has also been most impressive. In addition to graduating from a Bachelor of Commerce with merit (Distinction) in 2001, in 2003 Glen completed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia Charter Program and was ranked in the top 5% in Australia for 4 out of 5 modules.
