Cameron Smith BA Dean's Scholars (2008-present)
GRANTS ASSISTANT
Grants Assistant Cameron Smith is the newest addition to The GFI’s grant research and writing team. Currently completing a Bachelor of Arts (Politics/Media and Cultural Studies) at the University of Wollongong, Cameron has been recognised for his hard work – receiving an invitation to join the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2010 and more recently has been accepted into the prestigious Dean’s Scholars program within the Faculty of Arts.
Following a period of casual employment at Tait Miller McIntyre Accountants, Cameron developed strong analytical skills, including excellent communication and business administration skills. Cameron is a passionate individual, using his strong leadership skills to assist developing communities, having led a program on the South Coast which trained young people in their creative gifts and talents. Additionally, Cameron was heavily involved in a church-based youth ministry for five consecutive years, assisting in the mentoring of young people within this ministry.
Cameron is a vital member of the team at The GFI, assisting with grant research and writing, program identification and information auditing, market research, sponsorship campaign administration and developing and managing the internal grants register.
