$27.2M For NBN Education and Skills Program
The Gillard Government will provide $27.2 million in funding for a four year NBN Enabled Education and Skills Services Program, to support the development of online and interactive education and training projects.
The NBN will support the delivery of online learning through video and web-conferencing for education, training and skills development. The program will focus on projects which help Australians to study, learn and develop skills nationally.
Program funding will target communities to first benefit from the NBN and impact education and skills development in regional and remote areas.
Applications set to open late September with a six week closing date. For more information, visit http://www.dbcde.gov.au/digital_economy/programs_and_initiatives/nbn-enabled_education_and_skills_services_program
